The NSC forum has concluded that Rana Sana Ullah will head the committee which will probe the audio leaks scandal. It clearly indicates that security institutions are distancing themselves from this matter. We have seen in the past that the state has covered up all important inquiries. Hamood ur Rehman Commission, Abbottabad Commission, Dawn leaks inquiry, all these inquiries were carried out to cover up the matter and to save the culprits. Another inquiry was initiated to investigate the assassination attempt on journalist Hamid Mir. Where is the final report of this investigation? Unfortunately, our state is expert in covering up such matters.
