A New Wave of terrorist attacks hits the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. After a “pause”, terrorist organization Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) carried out multiple attacks in the tribal belt and other areas of KPK in last 24 hours.
The first major attack was carried out in Ghlo Kandaw area of Swat valley. Eight people including the former head of the Aman Committee and two policemen got martyred in a remote-controlled bomb that struck their vehicle. Former Aman Committee head was traveling from Kotakay to Bandai village along with two police guards Ramail, Tauheed, and a child.
The second attack was carried out at the Bilitang police station of Kohat. A grenade was hurled at the Bilitang police station. Seven people including SHO, four constables, and two civilians got seriously injured.
The third attack was carried out in the Godar area of Jamrood. FC check post came under attack at midnight. According to local media reports, one FC personal got martyred in this attack and the other was severely injured.
Former Minister and PTI leader Murad Saeed raised concerns over these attacks. In a Vlog, Murad Saeed said that our security agencies must come forward to clarify that why these attacks are being carried out in the tribal belt and Swat by TTP despite border fencing.
Residents of Swat valley also recorded their protest against the rise in attacks.
