Journalists walk out of today’s Senate session against the “victimization” of ARY News. The reporters who cover senate affairs staged a protest against the suspension of ARY News and walked out of the senate session.
Chairman Senate Sadiq Sinjrani took notice of this protest and directed senator Irfan Siddiqui and senator Manzoor Ahmad Kakar to meet journalists in the press gallery. Both senators met with the journalists to address their concerns.
Both senators assured the reporters that the matter will be discussed in the Senate and they will take a stand against the suspension of ARY News’s transmission.

After the meeting, senator Irfan Siddiqui while addressing the chair said that, “Journalists are concerned about the suspension of ARY News’s transmission and future of 4 thousand employees.”

Senator Manzoor Kakar said that the concerns of journalists regarding the suspension of the channel’s transmission are correct.
Chairman Senate Sadiq Sinjrani referred this matter to the senate’s Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting.
