DREAM COMES TRUE: ARSHAD NADEEM WINS GOLD FOR PAKISTAN

Javelin thrower and Olympian Arshad Nadeem wins the Gold Medal for Pakistan at the Commonwealth games with a record-breaking throw. It is the first Gold Medal for Pakistan in athletics history and the second athletics category medal since 1966.
Arshad Nadeem stunned everyone after a record-breaking 90.13 metre javelin throw and claimed the Gold. After crossing the 90 metre barrier, he became the first South Asian man to cross this barrier.


It was Pakistan’s second gold in Birmingham and the first was also won with a Games record when Nooh Dasagir Butt triumphed in the +105kg weightlifting competition.
With this victory, the total number of Pakistan’s medal at the Commonwealth games 2022 is now 8 which includes two Gold, 3 Silvers and 3 Bronze.
After this record-breaking performance, people from all over the world congratulated Arshad Nadeem and praised his performance.
