CHOPPER CRASH: PAKISTAN LOST ITS COMMANDER SOUTHERN COMMAND AND 5 OTHER MILITARY OFFICIALS

ISPR on Tuesday confirmed that the wreckage of the missing Army Aviation helicopter has been found in the Winder area of district Lasbela.
ISPR statement further added that all passengers including Commander Southern Command Lt.Gen Sarfaraz Ali, DG PCG Major General Amjid Hanif, Brigadier Muhammad Khalid, Pilot Major Saeed, Co-Pilot Major Talha and Naik Mudassar Fayyaz could not survive the crash.

The accident occurred due to bad weather as per initial investigations.” reads ISPR’s official statement.


Yesterday, at 10:57 PM, the military’s media wing shared the news that an Army Aviation helicopter that was on flood relief operations in Lasbela, Balochistan lost contact with ATC. Search and Rescue mission was initiated but unfortunately, none of the on-board military officials could survive.


Lt General Sarfaraz Ali was commanding the 12 Corps of Pakistan Army and served on key positions during his military career. He served as DG Military Intelligence and commanded the triple-one brigade as well. He was awarded tamgha-e-Basalat twice for his bravery and outstanding performance during special operations against TTP and other terrorist groups.
