Gujranwala Police has registered an FIR against Captain (r) Safdar for inciting violence against armed forces and threatening to perform a sit-in before Corps Commader house in Gujranwala if PMLN is not allowed a rally on 16th October and if any arrests are made of PMLN workers during or before the rally.
The application has been given by one Inspector Muhammad Amjad.nThe Inspector complained that he was on routine duty with other police officials when Captain (r) Safdar at the house of one Imran Butt, member Punjab Assembly, spoke to the people and incited them against armed forces of Pakistan.
PMLN has announced plans to start its anti government protest campaign from 16th October from Gujranwala.
As per the FIR, Captain (r) Safdar indulged in hate speech against armed forces saying if Federal or Provincial governments try to stop their protests by force, they will retaliate. Capt. Safdar went on to say that we will perform a sit-in outside the house of Corps Commander of the city where our workers are arrested. He also said that Gujranwala Cantt is near and if any arrest is made in Gujranwala, we will surround the house of Corps Commander Gujranwala.
Imran Butt, MPA from Gujranwala is also nominated in the FIR.
Captain (r) Safdar is husband of PMLN Vice President Maryam Nawaz and first son-in-law of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
