ISLAMABAD- The International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) SOS mission will arrive today on a five days visit (September 16 to 20).
Led by Jihad Azour, Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department, the mission will hold discussion with economic managers of federal government on fiscal issues, proposed ways to cut the fiscal deficit and review the reasons of a shortfall in tax revenue.
On September 13, the IMF has said Pakistan needed to increase its domestic tax revenue in order to fund development.
