A TRUSTWORTHY LEADER: OVERSEAS PAKISTANIS PLEDGE OVER 500 CRORE FOR FLOOD VICTIMS ON IMRAN KHAN’s CALL

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his party Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf organized a live international telethon to collect donations and funds for the flood-affected people of Pakistan. On Imran Khan’s call, the overseas Pakistani community pledged over 5 Billion rupees for the flood victims.
During the live telethon, the former premier said that Pakistan is facing a difficult time and the government alone cannot overcome this crisis so it’s time to come forward for poor flood victims and for those who lost their beloved ones in these deadly floods.
Chief Minister Punjab Chaudry Pervaiz Elahi, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan, Senator Sania Nishtar and renowned celebrities were also part of this live telethon transmission.


Overseas Pakistanis participated in the telethon and assured their financial support to Imran Khan for the flood-hit victims. British-Pakistani boxer Amir Khan announced 5 million Rupees for flood victims. He also announced that he will donate more funds on weekly basis. Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan and CEO ARY News Salman Iqbal pledged 30 million rupees donation for flood affectees.
