Mega Air Show held in Islamabad


Aerobatic teams from Turkey and Saudi Arabia performed in the largest ever show by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in the history of Pakistan to mark its 70th anniversary on Monday August 14, 2017. The special appearance of “Solo Turk”, the famous Turkish aerobatic team of Turkish Air Force and the internationally acclaimed “Saudi Hawks” of Royal Saudi Air Force alongside PAF aircraft added colours to the mega event.The air show at Fatima Jinnah Park Islamabad filled the skies of Islamabad with rainbow colors as thousands witnessed the flight demonstration of Pakistani Air Force jets.SOLOTURK team comprised of two F-16 jets piloted by Capt. Erhan Güner and Capt. Serdar Doğan who were supported by 11 other personnel.When Turkish jets appeared above Islamabad, people raised slogans of Turkey Zindabad  Pakisatan Zindabad.Besides the two teams from brotherly countries, and Pakistan’s JF-17 Thunder  also performed in the mega airshow.Pakistani F-16s, Thunder jets, Puma, Augusta and Mi-17 helicopters also performed at the air show while army commandos demonstrated an air drop and fly-past from the helicopters.
