Chief Justice of Pakistan has declined the request of the government alliance to form a full court bench to hear the PA deputy speaker ruling case. After the consultation with the other two members of the bench, CJP Umar Atta Bandiyal announced the decision which was reserved earlier today and said that the same three-member bench will hear the arguments on merits.
Earlier today, the government alliance had asked the Chief Justice of Pakistan to constitute a full court bench to hear PA deputy speaker case. PMLN vice president Maryam Safdar criticized the three-member bench and claimed that the composition of this bench is not based on merit and this bench cannot favour PMLN. PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that three “selected” people cannot decide the faith of this country and we urge CJP Umar Atta Bandial to constitute a full court bench to conclude the case in hand.
In a verbal decision, CJP Umar Atta Bandial said that “we will hear the arguments of all sides and then will decide whether there is a need to constitute full court bench or not.”
